Nate ~ (Children)

Nate is the son of one of my best friends here in NC. He is a mild-mannered little almost-three-year-old who is about as sweet as they come. And he also happens to be adorable. I had a lot of fun taking pictures with him this week... and you'll see my daughter happened to sneak in on one of the pictures, too. :-)

Michele, Baby Girl & Big Brother ~ (Maternity)

Although photography has been a major hobby of mine for many years, I am still a newbie to professional photography. I feel that I have a bit of a learning curve to make up for here at the beginning... but I am loving every minute of it. This week I took on the challenge of a new genre with my first maternity shoot. (Very grateful for my new friend Michele who was kind enough to model her beautiful baby belly for me!) I was pretty happy with how the shoot turned out, but see what you think...

Angie & Emily ~ (Family)

I come from a large family, ten of us in all. With most of us grown and half of us married, it is rare that we are actually all in the same place. But last week, it actually happened as we gathered for a big birthday celebration for my dad.

While we were together, I was able to get a photo shoot with my two younger sisters. Angie (the taller one in the pictures) and I were practically inseparable when we were little. Emily was the typical (somewhat annoying) little sister who liked to follow us around and try to get in on whatever we were playing. As we got older, though, it became more natural to include Emily into our little twosome, and when I left the nest to get married, Angie and Emily formed a strong bond of their own. The photos below display proof of the fact that sisters make the very best friends.

The Adams ~ (Family)

I took pictures for another sweet family last week as well. I usually try to pick five to ten favorites to post from among the ones that I edit, but this time I had such a hard time choosing that I decided to break my rule and post a couple extra. :-)
